The Bachelor of Arts program offers comprehensive training in global economics while upholding liberal arts principles. This curriculum mandates completion of seven foundational economics courses plus three electives. Requirements align with all University B.A. programs. The economics major demands between 30 to 48 credits, encompassing:
ECN 201, 202, 305, 306, 327, 328, 445, plus three upper-level ECN courses (300+).
Prospective majors must earn at least a C in both ECN 201 and 202 or obtain department chair approval.
Students can transfer up to three credits from related disciplines with prior approval from the economics chair and dean's office.
Graduation requires 120 total credits with minimum 2.00 GPAs (overall and major). Repeating the prerequisite, students must maintain C grades in ECN 201/202 or secure department chair consent for economics major declaration.
