Wharton's Management program equips students to utilize advanced social science theories and research methodologies to address modern leadership and management issues across both public and private sectors. Our faculty members explore diverse topics, from individual and group dynamics to multinational corporate strategies. Current research focuses on: entrepreneurship and business growth, human resource strategies, emotional intelligence and workplace motivation, social influence tactics, technology implementation in organizations, organizational learning processes, and strategic resource management within various business structures. Students tailor their academic journey by leveraging faculty expertise across these specializations. The program emphasizes hands-on research experience, starting with first-year assistantships, aiming to prepare graduates with multiple publishable studies by their fourth or fifth year.
Applicants must have completion of diplomas or degrees.
A strong command of the English language is necessary for successful study at Penn. Applicants whose families do not speak English at home, or applicants who have not attended a high school or secondary school where the primary language of instruction is English, are asked to take the TOEFL, the Test of English as a Foreign Language, administered by the Educational Testing Service. In the event the TOEFL is not readily accessible, Penn will accept results from the IELTS, the International English Language Testing System.
