The Sociology program equips students to recognize and analyze societal patterns and human interactions, highlighting how broad social structures (including class, racial, and gender disparities) influence individual lives and are in turn shaped by them. This degree opens doors to diverse professional paths including legal practice, healthcare, market analysis, teaching, academic and practical research, social services, population studies, communications, corporate and public sector leadership, and civil service. Students benefit from extensive academic guidance and abundant research and independent study options. Our department fosters a vibrant intellectual community, supporting students' academic and career development within the broader framework of the College of Arts & Sciences.
