The Department of Romance Languages provides graduate programs for students pursuing master's degrees in French, Italian, Spanish, or Romance Languages, as well as doctoral degrees in Romance Languages or Spanish. Candidates can specialize in one language or blend two disciplines for an MA in Romance Languages. Throughout their studies, MA students engage in a year-long research initiative with faculty guidance.
Our institution features MA tracks in French, Italian, Spanish, and Romance Languages, with the latter enabling dual-language specialization. Participants develop cultural literacy, master discipline-specific theories and methods, present research at the Fall Forum, and refine their academic writing through the MA Essay project.
