The University of Oregon's Anthropology Department offers opportunities to explore diverse cultures and communities, excavate fossils, observe primate behavior, discover historical artifacts, and beyond. Focus on your academic passions through our three specialized tracks: sociocultural anthropology, physical anthropology, and archaeological studies.
Our faculty consists of practicing anthropologists researching past and contemporary societies across global regions including West/East Africa, Latin/North America, East/South/Southeast Asia, Oceania, and the Caribbean. Examine humanity through ecological and evolutionary lenses while developing insights into biological diversity and our connections to the animal kingdom.
