Architecture involves mastering how to physically transform our spaces to improve both the constructed world and our daily lives. This overarching goal encompasses creating shelters and environmental safeguards with top-tier energy efficiency and sustainable design principles, crafting spaces tailored to human needs, and shaping visually appealing structures that promote community welfare and ecological balance.

The University of Oregon's Architecture Department provides numerous specialized courses and hosts an extensive roster of international architects who visit to share their expertise through lectures and workshops.
