The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center (OUHSC) is one of the nation’s few comprehensive academic health centers to house seven professional colleges—Allied Health, Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Public Health, and the Graduate College—on a single campus. Located in the heart of Oklahoma City, OUHSC serves as the state’s primary engine for healthcare education, research, and clinical innovation, training over 4,000 students and residents annually.
As a high-intensity research hub, OUHSC recently achieved a historic milestone by breaking into the top 100 national rankings for National Institutes of Health (NIH) funding. The campus is home to the OU Health Stephenson Cancer Center, Oklahoma’s only National Cancer Institute (NCI)-Designated Cancer Center, and the Harold Hamm Diabetes Center, one of the world's largest institutions dedicated to metabolic research.
Through its clinical partnership with OU Health, the university provides students with unparalleled access to the state’s only Level I Trauma Center and specialized pediatric care at Oklahoma Children's Hospital. With over 70 degree programs and a commitment to addressing rural health disparities, OUHSC continues to lead the region in transformative medical discoveries and the development of the future healthcare workforce.
