Aerospace engineers create and develop aircraft that enable global travel and spacecraft that facilitate cosmic exploration. Guided by our distinguished faculty who emphasize hands-on learning, students master aerodynamics, aerospace structures, propulsion systems, and flight control mechanisms. They utilize cutting-edge facilities including the Robotics Lab, L. A. Comp Wind Tunnel, and Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering Shop throughout their studies in the Gallogly College of Engineering. The University of Oklahoma's aerospace engineering program pioneered the multidisciplinary Intelligent Aerospace Systems focus, giving students the high-tech expertise required for modern aerospace careers. This innovative approach prepares graduates to be adaptable professionals, continuously applying and expanding their engineering knowledge throughout their professional journeys.
