Students in Creative Media Production (CMP) develop professional digital storytelling skills through practical training and industry experience. At one of America's most advanced facilities, OU CMP offers seven specialized tracks: Audio Production, Corporate/Commercial Production, Documentary, Electronic Filmmaking, Video Production, Writing, or Interactive Multimedia. The program provides access to Gaylord College's four studios, 14 editing suites, approximately 150 workstations, two control rooms, two radio stations, and a multi-track audio studio. For field production, students can utilize over 24 professional cameras. The program showcases student films in a modern 185-seat auditorium funded by the Ethics and Excellence in Journalism Foundation. Participants gain hands-on experience through TV4OU, the student-run television station, producing content including OU Nightly news broadcasts, sports programs, magazine shows, and large-scale music productions. Students also engage in significant independent projects through Gaylord Hall Productions, creating films, documentaries, commercials, or collaborating on special initiatives like ESPNU's Campus Connection.
