The interdisciplinary studies curriculum allows students significant flexibility in creating customized academic programs that transcend traditional subject boundaries. Master's program applicants can choose between two options: a personalized study plan or an established concentration. With the self-styled approach, students craft a program to explore specific intellectual pursuits or multidisciplinary topics by combining relevant graduate courses from across the university. Prospective students should consult the Graduate School when considering a self-styled plan. Recognized concentrations offer more structured coursework centered around specific interdisciplinary themes. Both pathways culminate in either a Master of Arts or Master of Science degree in interdisciplinary studies.
