Develop the ability to understand different viewpoints. The Psychology department fosters a fair and welcoming atmosphere that promotes both academic and personal development for students and faculty alike. Our curriculum introduces you to diverse viewpoints shaping contemporary psychology, including historical foundations, theoretical frameworks, human development, and various approaches like social, multicultural, clinical, cognitive, and biological psychology.
Undergraduate classes are led by faculty and graduate students with expertise in both theoretical and experimental research. We aim to provide students with a scientific understanding of psychological principles and demonstrate their practical applications in daily life. Additionally, the Psychology Department sponsors a Psi Chi chapter, the National Psychology Honor Society, which offers community service projects and internship possibilities while upholding rigorous academic standards.
