Detect and analyze trace evidence through quantitative methods to assist in solving cases. UNT's Forensic Biochemistry program equips students for careers in crime labs, where they apply biochemistry expertise to reveal crucial evidence. The program also provides pre-med preparation for those pursuing medical examiner roles. The University of North Texas offers a robust Forensic Science undergraduate curriculum rooted in its longstanding Natural Science Program, which has operated for more than five decades. The Forensic Science program guarantees that every student: Gains comprehensive training in natural sciences. Advances their knowledge through higher-level science courses. Cultivates forensic science specialization through both coursework and hands-on lab experience
Course offerings include Introduction to Criminalistics, Forensic Microscopy, and Instrumental Analysis. Students must also pass the Forensic Science Assessment Test.
Our esteemed faculty features Dr. Harrell Gill-King, an internationally recognized forensic anthropologist who contributed to victim identification in major incidents like the Oklahoma City bombings, 9/11 attacks, and Hurricane Katrina.
