Our Bachelor of Arts in theatre gives you a thorough foundation in theatrical arts, equipping you with essential skills for every aspect of production. Housed within the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, the Department of Dance & Theatre offers a varied curriculum blending academic study with hands-on performance. Our challenging program enables you to: Acquire hands-on training in costume design, stage construction, lighting techniques, production management, and theatrical makeup through practical workshops. Secure chances to take on starring roles, direct productions, design sets, and oversee stage operations. Master vocal and physical expression techniques. Develop skills in script analysis and production preparation. Explore theatrical traditions and works from diverse global regions including Africa, Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and North America. Collaborate with faculty, visiting artists, and fellow students on various productions
Graduates from our department have gone on to work with prestigious dance and theatre organizations as performers, choreographers, actors, and creative directors.
