Master every aspect of Public Relations, covering investor relations, community engagement, media outreach, and beyond. The University of North Texas offers a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism with a Public Relations specialization through the Mayborn School of Journalism, focusing on persuasive communication skills developed through hands-on training in cutting-edge technology labs and diverse media environments. PR experts shape and uphold public perceptions for businesses, non-profits, government bodies, schools, sports organizations, and community groups.

Created with industry collaboration, the Mayborn School's program equips students with versatile skills for multimedia careers. Learners cultivate abilities to assess, interpret, and communicate with worldwide audiences while examining the ethical dimensions of mass media in contemporary society. The school provides access to advanced multimedia labs with top-tier computers, software, and video tools, supported by faculty mentorship and career guidance.

The Advertising and Public Relations concentrations in strategic communication train students for careers across agencies, corporations, non-profits, and government sectors. Through case studies, campaign development, and internships, students build analytical abilities, creative approaches, and practical expertise.

Mayborn students produce marketing materials—from ads to social media strategies—for actual clients like non-profit groups. The school's student-run agencies (SWOOP Advertising, AGENZ Public Relations, and HATCH Visuals) offer real-world experience by serving genuine client needs.
