The Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) program offers an immersive education in art and design, preparing students for professional careers in visual arts. This curriculum cultivates creative vision, technical studio skills, and historical understanding. Below are the specialization options for the B.F.A. in Fine Arts, including any required prerequisites. The Department of Art, Art History and Design nurtures each student's personal and career development. Our curriculum strengthens cultural engagement through creative practice and academic inquiry. We embrace diversity and aim to elevate Northeast Florida's cultural landscape and intellectual discourse through art shows, guest talks, interactive workshops, and international study programs. All programs hold NASAD accreditation.

Qualification Requirements

Admissions decisions at UNF are rendered based on academic merit. The state of Florida has implemented minimum admission standards for freshman applicants to all Florida public state universities. In order to be considered, students must have a minimum 2.5 recalculated GPA on a 4.0 scale and meet minimum test score requirements.
Regardless of when they graduated from high school, students applying as first-time-in-college (FTIC) applicants are required to submit either SAT, ACT and/or CLT test scores. UNF does not require the essay section of the SAT or ACT.
A minimum TOEFL score of 79 internet-based (550 paper-based or 213 computer-based)
A band score of 6.5 on the University of Cambridge IELTS
