The Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) program provides a route into the teaching profession for bachelor's degree holders with minimal or no educational background. Delivered through a collaboration between the Watson College of Education and UNCW's College of Humanities, Social Sciences, and the Arts (CHSSA), the Spanish MAT program equips you to instruct Spanish at K-12 levels. This 33-credit program is available both in-person and through online formats.

Qualification Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Spanish from a regionally accredited college or university completed before graduate study begins. Undergraduate overall GPA of 3.0 or better is recommended.
Bachelor's Degree - Hold a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university in this country or its equivalent in a foreign institution.
Grade Point Average - Have a strong overall academic record with a B average or better in the basic courses prerequisite to the area of proposed graduate study.
The Graduate School requires one official transcript from each university, college, community college, junior college and high school dual enrollment institution attended.
