The Master of Science Program in Kinesiology, specializing in Applied Neuromechanics, is designed for students seeking advanced expertise in biomechanics and motor control. This program places strong emphasis on research, mandating all participants to undertake and complete a thesis project.

Both the Applied Neuromechanics (research/thesis path) and Sports Medicine (clinical/non-thesis path) concentrations combine insights from Biomechanics, Motor Control, Sports Medicine, and Athletic Training disciplines. This interdisciplinary approach equips future professionals, scientists, and instructors with skills to prevent injuries, restore function after injuries or illnesses, and enhance physical performance across all age groups of active individuals.

The Graduate School requires a course-by-course evaluation report showing completion of a bachelors and a graduate degree if required by the program that is equivalent to a US degree from an international college or university recognized and approved by the Ministry of Education or Commission responsible for higher education in the country where the degree is earned.
Students enter Graduate School with no academic standing and are expected to earn at least a GPA of 3.0 in their first semester to be placed in Academic Good Standing Continuing students must maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 in all graduate course work at UNCG to remain in Academic Good Standing.
Academic Transcripts - For US transcripts please follow the normal protocol from your institution when ordering official transcripts For Undergraduate Admissions the International Recruitment and Admissions Office accepts stamped copies of high school transcripts from US community colleges.
