The Master of Science (M.S.) in Counseling equips students with advanced, research-backed, ethical, and culturally aware competencies to support clients effectively. The Clinical Mental Health Counseling specialization trains you to evaluate, diagnose, and provide treatment for individuals, couples, families, and groups across diverse environments. These may include hospitals, outpatient clinics, home-based services, and independent practices.

The department houses the Nicholas Vacc Counseling and Consulting Clinic, an on-site training facility where all students gain hands-on experience through client interactions.
Throughout the counseling curriculum, graduate students receive rigorous clinical guidance from faculty as they refine their therapeutic abilities during practicum and internship placements.
Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or appropriately evaluated credentials for non-U.S. schools.
English Language Proficiency: TOEFL: internet based - 79, or paper based - 550. A score of at least 6.5 is required on the IELTS.
