The Master of Science in Applied Statistics program at UNC Greensboro equips students with advanced data analysis capabilities and critical thinking abilities for careers across diverse fields including healthcare, insurance, government, and corporate sectors.
Led by Director and Professor Scott Richter, our Statistical Consulting Center maintained its support for both university and external communities, conducting more than 60 advisory sessions and organizing our fifth annual Quantitative Methodology Series workshops.
During 2019-2020, the department was granted four National Science Foundation awards and one Army Research Office grant.
Alongside this remarkable achievement in external funding, faculty members produced 32 peer-reviewed publications in 2019 and delivered 92 scholarly presentations, with 30 taking place at global conferences.
Full admission to the MA in Applied Economics program requires a baccalaureate degree with a minimum of a 3.0 grade point average.
English Language Proficiency: TOEFL: internet based - 79, or paper based - 550. A score of at least 6.5 is required on the IELTS.
