The TESOL Master of Arts in Teaching program is a 33-credit, intensive full-time program that begins in May and runs through August the next year. Students work in cohort groups while completing coursework, a semester-long internship, and a student-teaching placement in K-12 schools. Upon completion, students receive a Master of Arts in Teaching with a TESOL focus and qualify for K-12 ESL teaching certification. The program's goal is to equip educators to teach English learners in diverse educational environments, both locally and internationally. Through continuous critical reflection and hands-on field experiences in schools and communities, graduates develop essential professional knowledge, skills, and teaching approaches.
Thanks to a National Professional Development grant, qualified applicants may receive full tuition assistance for the TESOL M.A.T. program. You can also complete a brief Self-Assessment to determine which TESOL program aligns best with your professional aspirations.
