Recognized as one of the country's premier history graduate programs by U.S. News and World Report.
Learners collaborate closely with distinguished faculty mentors who are internationally respected experts.

Graduate students design personalized study tracks aligned with their academic interests. Working with faculty, they assemble a three-person advisory committee representing different historical specialties or eras. A History Department faculty member will act as the primary advisor.
The program requires completion of 30 credit hours, along with either passing a language proficiency test or completing three additional credit hours in their major or minor concentration.
