Admission to the PhD in Economics program requires a master’s degree in economics comparable to the MA in Applied Economics offered at UNCG. In order for a master’s degree to be considered comparable to the UNCG MA, your graduate coursework should include the following: Two graduate-level courses in microeconomics; Two graduate-level courses in econometrics; One graduate-level course in macroeconomics.
English Language Proficiency: TOEFL: internet based - 79, or paper based - 550. A score of at least 6.5 is required on the IELTS.
