The Nutrition Department at UNC Greensboro makes global, national, regional, and local impacts by exploring how food and its bioactive elements promote health, prevent disease, and by practically applying nutritional science to enhance human wellness.
Our evolving curriculum keeps pace with the nutrition field's rapid changes. With small class sizes, we offer individualized instruction, guidance, and mentorship. Numerous courses incorporate service-learning, enabling students to gain real-world experience applying classroom knowledge. Graduates leave equipped for diverse career paths, professional programs, or advanced studies.
Our students frequently earn prestigious recognitions for their research, such as the McNair Scholarship, Undergraduate Research and Creativity Award, Provost Student Excellence Award, Lloyd International Honors distinctions, and various HHS Scholarships.
The Human Nutrition and Dietetics concentration (Didactic Program in Dietetics - DPD) holds accreditation from the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND).
Graduates from our human nutrition and dietetics program qualify for early admission consideration to our MS/DI (docx) program.

English Language Proficiency exams for direct entry: IBT TOEFL 79 minimum; IELTS 6.5 minimum; ELS 112 score report, PTE Academic 53 and Duolingo English Test DET 105.
