UNC Greensboro has earned widespread recognition for its exceptional teacher preparation programs. The Elementary Education Bachelor of Science program merges challenging coursework with hands-on training at collaborating schools. Upon completing their student-teaching requirements, graduates will have logged over 1,000 hours of practical classroom experience while qualifying for North Carolina's K-6 teaching certification, fully equipped to manage their own classrooms.
The program has maintained top-tier status in North Carolina's higher education rankings for teacher preparation three years running.
It holds accreditation from both the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) and the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI).
Freshmen must have completed minimum high school course requirements.
English Language Proficiency exams for direct entry: IBT TOEFL 79 minimum; IELTS 6.5 minimum; ELS 112 score report, PTE Academic 53 and Duolingo English Test DET 105.
