The School of Art at UNC Greensboro empowers students to channel their artistic passion into fulfilling careers and lifestyles rooted in creative expression. Through rigorous training, learners hone their technical abilities while building comprehensive knowledge of art history, critical analysis, and theoretical frameworks. Intensive studio and classroom work is complemented by diverse engagement initiatives that connect students with broader artistic communities.
PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS
School of Art faculty maintain active exhibition careers across global venues (including New York, Berlin, Cairo, Montreal, Beijing, and beyond) while earning recognition through UNCG Teaching Excellence Awards for their educational dedication.
As part of UNCG's College of Visual and Performing Arts, we represent North Carolina's most extensive arts institution and rank among the Southeast's premier arts colleges.
Our credentials include accreditation from the National Association of Schools of Art & Design.
State-of-the-art facilities feature specialized spaces for woodworking, metal casting, ceramics, traditional photography, digital media, printmaking, painting, and drawing.
Freshmen must have completed minimum high school course requirements.
English Language Proficiency exams for direct entry: IBT TOEFL 79 minimum; IELTS 6.5 minimum; ELS 112 score report, PTE Academic 53 and Duolingo English Test DET 105.
