The Physics BA program offers students a comprehensive and rigorous physics education similar to the Physics BS, but without the requirement for advanced 400-level physics electives. This flexibility allows BA students to tailor their studies for diverse career paths that benefit from strong physics and mathematical problem-solving skills, without needing the specialized knowledge required for graduate physics programs.
Our department maintains a close-knit, welcoming environment. Faculty actively collaborate with students on research spanning observational astronomy, image processing, astrophysics, biophysics, computational modeling, electronics, particle physics, and science education.
