The School of Theatre provides comprehensive liberal arts and professional degree programs designed to equip undergraduate students with diverse career pathways in theatrical arts. These degrees blend theoretical knowledge with practical experience, fostering the growth of both skills and creative abilities.
Students can choose between BFA and BA degree tracks, offering varying levels of specialization in theatrical studies. BA candidates become interdisciplinary artists, exploring multiple theatre disciplines alongside complementary fields that enrich their artistic perspective. BFA candidates focus intensely on a single theatrical discipline to refine their professional expertise.
BA Drama students have the opportunity to complement their studies with minors in diverse fields such as Women and Gender Studies, African American Studies, Arts Administration, Psychology, Studio Art, and various interdisciplinary programs. International study opportunities are strongly recommended.
For those drawn to technical theatre, the program facilitates cross-departmental partnerships with areas like Art, Media Studies, Interior Architecture, and Communication Studies. Alumni pursue successful careers as designers, technical directors, costume specialists, lighting technicians, sound engineers, and stage managers.
Freshmen must have completed minimum high school course requirements.
English Language Proficiency exams for direct entry: IBT TOEFL 79 minimum; IELTS 6.5 minimum; ELS 112 score report, PTE Academic 53 and Duolingo English Test DET 105.
