The Health Informatics and Analytics program is an interdisciplinary initiative under the School of Data Science, drawing upon the combined expertise of its founding institutions - the College of Health and Human Services and the College of Computing and Informatics. This program equips both domestic and international students with comprehensive training in data science and health analytics to enhance professional practice in Health Informatics.
This mission is achieved through educational initiatives, research projects, and service activities that:
Equip diverse students - particularly those from historically underrepresented groups in graduate education - with essential knowledge and skills to excel as health informatics professionals and advocates Expand understanding of healthcare information systems and health data analysis across various scales Utilize specialized knowledge to assist health leaders and their communities in improving public health outcomes
