The Master of Science in Fire Protection and Safety Management equips safety professionals with advanced technical expertise for careers in fire protection analysis, design, fire services, and safety/security, along with occupational safety, industrial hazards, industrial hygiene, and related fields. This program develops the essential knowledge and abilities to enter various fire protection and occupational safety roles while addressing safety challenges in today's technologically complex world.

Students complete a foundational core covering fire protection and safety management fundamentals, with remaining courses allowing specialization in either fire protection/administration or occupational safety management.

The Fire Protection/Administration track trains fire service, emergency response, and safety professionals to handle administrative decision-making in both public and private organizations. The Occupational Safety Management track develops skills for assessing industrial risks, creating safety plans, and addressing industrial hygiene, pollution control, ergonomics, and human factors.
