A customizable master's and PhD curriculum allows students to concentrate on their preferred disciplines while accounting for diverse academic backgrounds. Both programs build on foundational knowledge and require broad exposure to theoretical, systems, and practical subjects. The PhD track additionally emphasizes specialization, teaching preparation, and participation in cutting-edge research.
To earn a master's degree, students must complete 30 credit hours in 400-level or above courses, with a maximum of 6 transferable credits from other institutions or programs. The program mandates 18 core credits in COMP courses (excluding COMP 991 - Reading and Research), with 9 credits fulfilled by meeting the breadth requirement.
A baccalaureate degree is required, with a grade point average of at least B (3.0/4.0); most entering students have a GPA of more than 3.5.
The required minimum total score on the exams are internet-based TOEFL exam = 90, The IELTS exam = 7.
