Geography serves as a vital link connecting the social and environmental sciences. Utilizing analytical and theoretical frameworks from ecology, cultural ecology, political ecology, and science studies, UNC geographers examine environmental transformation geographies, the political-economic and social construction of environment-society relationships, and socio-ecological system dynamics.
