UNC's Marketing PhD program is an intensive four to five-year curriculum that prepares students for academic careers as researchers at leading institutions. Tailored for aspiring marketing professors at research-focused universities, the program dedicates its initial two years to coursework, equipping students with essential research skills. By the completion of their first year, students should identify a faculty advisor whose research aligns with their interests, establishing a collaborative mentoring relationship.
The completion of a bachelor’s degree or its international equivalent with an accredited institution and a minimum overall average grade of B (cumulative GPA 3.0 on a 4.0 scale) is required.
The required minimum total score on the exams are internet-based TOEFL exam = 90, The IELTS exam = 7.
