This program will be an excellent fit for many, though it may not be right for everyone. We anticipate particular interest from students planning to enter industry who seek the advanced expertise provided by an M.S. program. The decision ultimately depends on individual circumstances and preferences. Undergraduate students in the B.S. program maintaining a 3.3 GPA or higher, who are within two semesters of graduation, may apply for the combined B.S./M.S. track to begin graduate-level studies toward a master of science degree. These candidates must fulfill all bachelor's degree requirements within eight semesters. (Transfer students granted extended timelines by the university may go beyond this limit.) After earning their B.S., students transition to graduate status to complete their master's degree. Enrollment in the master's component must commence immediately following bachelor's degree completion, as deferrals are not permitted.
