UNC-Chapel Hill's Studio Art program fosters both technical proficiency and unique artistic perspectives. By engaging with visual arts, students discover innovative problem-solving approaches and ways to articulate their personal creativity. The curriculum cultivates critical thinking while nurturing students' artistic dedication. Coursework helps students recognize their professional possibilities and understand industry standards in visual arts. The BFA program offers intensive training in visual concepts and practices, serving as ideal preparation for graduate studies in fine arts, design, or architecture. Prospective BFA candidates should consult with the studio art undergraduate advisor early in their academic journey, preferably during their first or second year.
All students will be expected to have completed the pre-university curriculum (Secondary School/High School) in their country prior to enrolling at UNC-Chapel Hill. English Language Tests: TOEFL minimum is 100; IELTS minimum is 7.0; PTE minimum is 68.
