The Central European Studies program offers an interdisciplinary undergraduate focus exploring the diverse cultural mosaic of Czech, German, Hungarian, and Polish influences in contemporary Central Europe. Students develop language proficiency in two Central European languages (one at intermediate level, another at beginner level) while completing two foundational courses - GSLL 260 (From Berlin to Budapest: Literature, Film, and Culture of Central Europe) and HIST 260 (East Central Europe from the 18th Century to Present) - plus six additional courses across GSLL and other Arts & Sciences departments.
