The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's Persian (or Farsi) program provides scholarly opportunities to explore Persian language and cultural traditions. By learning Persian, students gain exposure to its rich literary heritage, historical background, regional influences, artistic expressions, and cultural perspectives. The university offers introductory, intermediate, and higher-level Persian language instruction, along with specialized classes on Iranian literature and cultural studies. Learners can pursue a Persian minor, count Persian toward their Asian Studies major's language component, or apply Persian coursework to meet general foreign language prerequisites.

Qualification Requirements
All transcripts must be translated to English. If your school does not issue English transcripts, students must have an official English translation made and submit this in addition to the official copy from the school.official transcript, including an official English translation, by secure electronic delivery.
