This program has a twofold purpose: preparing graduates for Sociology PhD programs and enhancing professional opportunities by strengthening research and analytical capabilities. The curriculum covers broad sociological studies with focused tracks in Gender Sociology and Environmental/Disaster Sociology. Flexible part-time enrollment is available, with core courses frequently offered during evening hours. Admissions occur in Fall, Spring, or Summer terms.
Those selecting the Non-Thesis track must finish 36 credit hours, which includes a mandatory qualitative methods course (SOC 6788).
