The Doctor of Philosophy in Urban Studies is an interdisciplinary graduate program offered by the College of Liberal Arts, Education, and Human Development, designed for highly capable students to conduct advanced research in urban affairs, urban history, urban planning, and urban anthropology. This program aims to equip students for professional paths in academia, policy research, and applied analysis. Graduates of the Ph.D. in Urban Studies gain comprehensive knowledge for academic careers or specialized policy research beyond university environments. After finishing the program, students will demonstrate expertise in their chosen field's literature and theories, along with the research capabilities needed to produce meaningful, innovative work. Qualification Requirements

Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution in the U.S. or equivalent from a recognized institution of higher learning abroad.
Applicants enrolled in the final year of a bachelor's degree or international equivalent will be considered for conditional admission.

2.5 overall grade point average (GPA) on a 4.0 scale for a bachelor's degree.
2.75 overall grade point average (GPA) on a 4.0 scale on the last 60 hours of undergraduate coursework.
3.0 grade point average (GPA) on a 4.0 point scale on at least nine hours of graduate coursework.
