The B.S. in naval architecture and marine engineering is a demanding curriculum designed to prepare you for success in any marine profession. You'll start with core classes in mathematics, science, and introductory engineering. Next, you'll advance into specialized topics, tackling intricate marine engineering challenges. Your studies culminate in a capstone design course, collaborating with a small group to create a custom boat, ship, or offshore structure.
The Bachelor of Science in naval architecture and marine engineering is an ABET-accredited program requiring 128 credit hours. This comprises 39 general education credits, 52 credits in math, science, and engineering fundamentals, and 37 credits dedicated to NAME courses, including your capstone project.
