The Biomedical Engineering M.S. and Ph.D. programs equip students for professional roles addressing healthcare engineering challenges, biomedical research, bioinformatics, and biotechnology. Current faculty research focuses on diverse fields such as biomaterials, biomechanics, nanobiotechnology, nanomedicine, bioanalytical microsystems, medical devices, tissue engineering, flow cytometry, disease mechanisms, clinical applications, bioinformatics, medical informatics, and molecular/cellular systems. The curriculum features five foundational courses, a seminar series, and multiple electives offered by Affiliated Faculty and instructors from the School of Engineering, School of Medicine, College of Arts and Sciences, and College of Pharmacy.
