The University of New Mexico (UNM) provides a Special Education Program featuring graduate studies for the Master of Arts (MA) degree. Candidates can select between two specialized tracks: Track I focuses on Intellectual and Severe Disabilities, covering educational equity for diverse learners with conditions like autism, significant communication challenges, and cultural/linguistic differences. Track II emphasizes Learning and Behavioral Exceptionalities, addressing instructional strategies, curriculum development, and transition planning for students with learning disabilities or emotional/behavioral needs.
