The Physical Education Teacher Education (PETE) bachelor's program prepares future educators to teach K-12 physical education through a comprehensive curriculum. This Bachelor of Science in Education degree combines 57 credit hours of general education with 76 hours of specialized training. Graduates qualify for New Mexico teaching certification. Our PETE instructors focus on developing both subject expertise and teaching methods to help students successfully move from teacher preparation to classroom practice.
