Cultivating an environment of bold innovation and meaningful interaction with both cutting-edge and traditional technologies. The Experimental Art & Technology program at the University of New Mexico is a cross-disciplinary initiative within the Art Department. Participants create works that challenge, interact with, and redefine the boundaries of tech-based art through courses covering everything from advanced immersive installations to modifying consumer electronics and constructing basic analog circuits.

Facilities feature professional-grade software alongside open-source alternatives. Hands-on studio practice is paired with critical examination of how art intersects with technology, politics, society, and culture.
