The Pre-Law concentration prepares students for law school or legal careers, emphasizing areas where law intersects with crime and criminal justice. This program introduces learners to the roots of criminal behavior and society's reactions to it. Participants can select courses exploring both the individual and societal factors behind crime, along with classes analyzing how legal and justice systems address offenders and work to lower crime levels.
This curriculum offers an in-depth examination of human social structures and relationships. Students will study sociological theories, research methodologies, social organization, class systems, patterns of social transformation, family dynamics, deviant behavior regulation, and their application to specific communities, institutions, and societal challenges.
