The Latin American Studies (LAS) undergraduate major/minor equips students with essential language proficiency and regional expertise for careers in business, education, government, or advanced academic pursuits.
Students collaborate with the Associate Director for Program Development to design their academic path. Every course counting toward the major or minor requires approval from the Associate Director. Each semester, the LAS program publishes a catalog of approved courses. Students should reference this catalog when selecting classes for their program. For courses not appearing on the official list, students may request approval to include them in their degree plan. Courses demonstrating substantial LAS-related content may receive approval after review.
