The Bachelor of Arts in Architecture (B.A.A.) serves as a foundational degree, equipping students for entry into a two-year graduate architecture program or careers in allied design disciplines connected to the built environment. This program establishes a solid understanding of the fundamental concepts, theories, and technologies shaping our constructed surroundings. Central to the curriculum is the design studio sequence, where students progressively develop their skills through integrated design exercises that synthesize all aspects of the creative process.
The B.A.A. curriculum features three specialized tracks. Students must choose their concentration prior to their senior year. The Pre-Professional track readies graduates for accredited Master of Architecture programs and architectural licensure. The Design Studies option caters to those interested in diverse design careers like interior design, urban planning, digital media, construction management, or real estate development. The Landscape Architecture specialization prepares students for advanced study in landscape architecture or professional practice before graduate studies.
