Homeland security encompasses a wide range of national security practices. This multidisciplinary field integrates law enforcement, military defense, immigration controls, and anti-terrorism measures that collectively safeguard the country. Through the University of New Haven's Homeland Security bachelor's program, students learn to prevent threats against U.S. citizens and vital systems while mastering intergovernmental coordination. Graduates emerge equipped with the expertise to defend national populations, territory, and strategic interests.
This program readies students for government careers at all levels by:
Examining intricate challenges in immigration and border protection
Gaining expertise in vulnerabilities affecting essential national systems
Analyzing transportation safety protocols and WMD threats
Developing response strategies for extremist and terrorist activities
Applicants must have official certified copies of senior secondary/high school records.
English Language Requirement: TOEFL score (80 IBT) or IELTS score (6.5) or a PTE score (53).
Application Deadlines: Fall semester, priority deadline of June 1st; Spring semester, priority deadline of November 1st.
