Oral health significantly impacts overall bodily wellness. Infections and inflammation in teeth and gums can lead to lasting systemic effects. Our B.S. in Dental Hygiene program, recognized among the top dental hygiene programs nationwide, teaches students the critical role dental hygienists play in patient health while providing both theoretical knowledge and practical skills for this fulfilling career. The Bachelor of Science degree serves as the foundation of our university's dental hygiene program, allowing students to engage with dental hygiene studies across all four academic years. This curriculum combines scientific prerequisites and general education with both introductory and advanced dental hygiene courses. Bachelor of Science graduates will qualify for positions not just in private dental practices but also in diverse healthcare environments including long-term care facilities, hospitals, educational institutions, public health programs, and correctional institutions. Those earning a Bachelor of Science may also explore opportunities as corporate trainers or product specialists. Additionally, this degree provides the fundamental expertise required for pursuing graduate-level education.
