The framework of our communities—including roads, bridges, tunnels, railways, dams, and airports—relies heavily on the expertise of civil engineers. The well-being, security, and prosperity of society's members are also significantly influenced by their work. Notably, civil engineers have preserved more lives by implementing clean water and sanitation infrastructure than medical professionals throughout history. At the University of New Haven's Bachelor of Science in civil engineering, learners engage in an interdisciplinary program that integrates math, science, communication, liberal arts, and social sciences with a comprehensive foundation in civil engineering technologies.
