The Bachelor of Arts in English (writing focus) and Communication (film production focus) provides students with a customized interdisciplinary learning experience. This adaptable program allows learners to combine coursework from two distinct fields to meet their unique academic aspirations. These objectives may align with specialized career paths not covered by traditional single-degree programs.
Students earn one degree with dual majors, receiving a single diploma while both specializations appear on their academic record. Completing this dual major requires at least 120 credits and fulfillment of both programs' requirements. Students can apply for the second major starting their sophomore year. Maintaining a 3.00 overall GPA is mandatory for program continuation and graduation, with a minimum 2.50 GPA required across major courses. Prospective dual majors must submit a formal application to the Registrar's Office; this option cannot be selected during initial enrollment.
